Events

Small town. Big community.

We’re a community that works hard. Even after the nine-to-five is done, you’ll see that the work doesn’t stop there. What really makes Greensburg/Decatur County a vibrant, desirable place to live, work and play is the true spirit of community and cross-generational support. Without the help of our wonderful community and its volunteers, our annual events would not be possible.

Wondering what’s going on in Greensburg/Decatur County? We have something to celebrate each unique season and plenty of family-friendly activities you won’t want to miss.

In the summer you’ll want to visit the 4-H Fair for lemonade shake-ups, ice cream twists, fish sandwiches, and plenty of furry entertainment. Grab a handful of tickets and take the kids for a spin on several classic carnival rides.

In the fall be sure to come to our Tree City Fall Festival, arguably our biggest event that has been coming back year after year since 1979. Here you’ll find live music, parades, car shows, and our famous crowning of Miss Tree City. Past festivals have even featured a memorial 5k and chili cookoffs.

For family-friendly holiday fun, come to the Holiday Walk and experience winter magic in the form of bright lights and horse-drawn carriage rides. It’s said that Santa himself even makes an appearance from time to time!
