Welcome to Greensburg!

We’re so glad you’re here! ☺ Being a photographer, I have had the opportunity to take photos in a LOT of different places from coast to coast, but few places have as much character as my hometown does! Greensburg has a lot of picturesque places. SO hop in the car and take this journey around town with me!

The first place to stop would be the Tower Tree, of course!

How many other cities have you been to that have a tree growing out of the top of the building?! And no, rooftop gardens do not count. This tree is literally growing through the roof! There is an alley in the row of buildings on Franklin Street that has the PERFECT view of the tree, so I encourage you to check it out! This is also a great place for senior portraits, too!

Now, cruise on down Main Street a few blocks to the “Love Grows Here” mural!

In the last few years, our city has taken to the public art scene, and it is super exciting! This mural is next to 5/3 Bank, and it makes for a great photo op!

The next stop on the tour is the “What Lifts You” mural located on the side of the Watson Building on Broadway.

This is an interactive mural that depicts two angel wings created by different landmarks of Decatur County. This mural is extra fun because YOU get to be a part of it! Make sure you bring a friend with you because you get to step into the picture and be the angel while your friend snaps your picture. How fun!

Like I said, I am a photographer, so I have found a few pretty places around town that I frequent quite a bit for taking client photos. My favorite is Rebekah Park. The best part of this place is that there is a playground nearby, so it makes it perfect for bribing the kiddos to smile. “If you say cheese, you can play on the playground before we leave!” Just across the street is the Buell Trails, which is another great place for photo opportunities. I highly recommend going here in the fall-time because of the many trees that are changing colors! Another great place is the Greensburg City Park. There is a pond near the park area, which is super pretty at night, and again makes a great place to take family portraits!

There are tons of places around Greensburg and Decatur County to snap some great shots! Whether you’re a lifelong resident, a visitor, or you’re just passing through, there is truly something in our community for everyone!’
